Hey, I have searched, nada.
What do you guys use to align clutch plates pre
pressure plate install.

In the trade we mostly use a multi purpose spigot tool,this comes with various sleeves & spigot sizes.sometimes we have a one off machined up to sizes to suit the application.I hope this puts a little light on the subject Cheers Les

you cant beat an actual input shaft
just find a dead vw gearbox :tu:

An extension bar from your socket set wrapped with tape to the correct thickness can work nicely

I don't know if they are as common for you as they are in the US, but a AA-cell Mag-Light flashlight...umm...torch is a perfect fit. for the spline and the recess in the flywheel. Works better than the "official" tool because it doesn't disturb the grease on the bushing while aligning the clutch
