Hey all. I have a 86 T3 which I put a ej22 into about 6 months ago. It's alot better then the original engine setup but now that im towing a trailer around while camping I would like a stronger more torquey engine. The first thing comes to mind is a Suby EJ25 or even better a EG33. Any ideas on any other strong engines that would be a good for towing and not to hard to adapt to the T3. Not really wanting to go turbo though. thanks

There's always the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12... Not turbo, and has been inserted in cars before....

Yeah I have seen a few mods on the internet to gain a few extra hp for a Ej22. I think they were to mod the oxy sensor and the Intake sensor but dont know if they are any good or not. Yeah I was in contact with Humpty about his EG33 conversion but ended up finding a good low Km Ej22 that was really cheap, so went down that road. I now wish I went for the EG33, it would of kicked butt. Problem is that there is not as much info on the EG33 conversion compared to the EJ, but now after having the experience with the EJ conversion im sure im up for a new challenge. :)

You can't beat cubes in a big vehicle like a T3. Ditto what MM said. Just don't drive like he does or you'll need a full albins box to go with it.
