I have 69 Bug with a swing axle and recently,with the help of this forum,I have decided to attempt it.Can someone steer me in the right direction with a link or advice on parts needed.Is there a coil-over shock that is used and is there and upper side bracket needed for top of strut.What about my stock gearbox.I believe the stock Bugs with IRS have a gearbox with mounts on it.Should i change my gearbox(I plan on converting to a EJ25T or an EJ20T...or what would be the best solution for a gearbox in the cheapest way possible)?Please send any links if possible and pics would be great.

After you decide the engine (and consider the power, the cost, and the amount of cutting of body work......) decide on gearboxes. check out the subagear thread and website.
