Do those of you running the Microtech LT10 ecu have trouble with cold start settings ?? I see lots of systems used on drag cars but would like first
hand knowledge of street cars/ weekend toys. I have heard that some have trouble with the settings changing .
Thanks for the help
Hi,
No microtech have a great cold start, it's one of it's great features. The best place for the temp sensor is in the head, this will pull the fuel
back out of the engine quicker as it warms up faster than a sump mounted sensor.
It will take a few mornings to setup and can be trial and error. Ensure you are changing the temp map and add some timing into the idle map for temp
compensation.
If you can borrow a lamba sensor for a day or so this will get you into the ball park quicker. Often people richen up the map for idle thinking it is
starving of fuel where often it is over rich.
Hope this helps.
What vw59 said!
I did not have a cold start for 4 years, thats why my bag of spanners sat under my seat and then rested on the accelerator until I came outside again
5min later. Its just been fixed, not as good as factory but a couple of blips on the pedal and its pretty good to go.
Thanks guys ! Any other info or build threads would be great.
My motor and trans is in and I hope to be making progress in the next couple of weeks.
How did you go with the microtech and tune?
Aaron.
My cold start was almost spot on straight from Microtech, in the middle of winter it takes 2 turns of the key, but otherwise it's perfect.

Ok guys here's my new question. I bought my ECU from someone that had what I think was an EJ22t start up tune on it but my engine is a JDM EJ20. Do
you think I will have any start up problems because of coil pack vs. coil on plug ?? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I am new to
standalone.
Thanks again for the help.
Hi Bobby, don't think it will start the jdm EJ20, cause the EJ20 only uses 1 crank pick up and i know the old 22s have another on the cam pully.
Threr is room for another sensor on the 20, but the pickups on the back of the pully would be different, Ithink?.... you might need a EJ25na pully
I think the coil wiring is different too.
Is the EJ22t dohc
Aaron
Thanks for the reply Aaron. As far as knowing much about the EJ22 tune that's on it, I am unsure.
I'm not on good terms with the person I bought it off of and don't want to ask.
Sounds like I may have to suck it up and ship it to Microtech for a propper flash.
