Hi lads,i need some help with this .I lowered the sump and stuck it back on and noticed it didnt seal properly so its leaking a bit and toady i started it and its not idling properly.Im not sure if these 2 problems are connected or not and cant figure it out .Any advice lads? HAVE A LISTEN
I'm going to bump this in the hope that one of the Subie guys reads it.To me it sounds like you have a dirty sensor,Air flow, maybe.I cannot see any reason why it would be related to dropping the sump off, unless you've knocked a wire off in the process.Normally that 'hunting' idle will go away with a bit of driving, but if it is 'a work in progress' the sensor may just be carboned up.
you will have a plug not correctly fitted or air flow meter needs to be cleaned.
also remove the ICV and clean it out, mark it so you put it back in the same place
hey seagull. what would clean the air flow meter with?
I've always used that CRC electrical contact cleaner.
That sounds just like mine was doing when I was testing everything. I had a leak between the air flow meter and the throttle body. Hope this helps.
