Hey everyone,
I know ur a cluey bunch so I thought I'd ask the question. I'm looking at getting new brakes in all corners and thought this might be a good time to
review the stud pattern to open up the range of wheels for my buggy as the current 4x130 are limiting.
Which has the largest range of wheels suitable be for a Manx STREET buggy??(emphasis on street). Holden (commodore?), chev or ford (falcon?)???????
Pics - same wheels with/without black Plastidip.
Cheers Marty.
And without Plastidip.
Nice buggy, a guy I know runs Landcruiser 6 stud pattern
Chev and Ford are the majority of 5 stud in the street scene. Ford is probably more prevalent, as Toyota and Nissan also run the same 5 stud pattern on a lot of their larger cars.
chev. commodore. bmw. the same heaps of cheap options

I have just finished a 4 wheel disc brake conversion on my buggy, and chose the 5x130 Porsche pattern.I had some spare rims and used 15x6 up front with 265/65 tyres and bought some new 17x7's for the back and also used 265/65 tyres. They all fit just inside the mudguard line.At the moment the 15x6's are on the back of my Drag Car at the Dyno Tuner
Chev and Commodore are NOT the same. They are similar. You must never interchange them, as breaking wheel studs is what could happen.

I would be going 5 x 130 PCD
may be wrong but Porsche is the only one with different offsets front and rear - and in my opinion that is what a VW needs
Buggys with Fuchs look great
5 x 114.3....... Ford , Honda, Toyota, Chrysler / mitsy.......you should be able to get a wheel you like in an offset ( or two different) to suit
your needs !
More sizes & choices
Look at Myers Manx Rims 4 x 130
Magic!! Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm liking the idea of the 5 x 114.3 due to the huge range of vehicles that use that pattern. Gotta be something I like there!!! :-)
definitely 5x114.3 most common PCD in the world. wheels from 14-24" 4-14" wide in whatever offset you can think of
