Finally got my arse into gear and started nailing this beast back together. For those who don't know the old floorpan went a weeee bit rusty and basically fell to pieces. Started last Wednesday and hope to drive it to Brisbane at the end of this month.I work better under pressure.......

MikeM - October 11th, 2004 at 06:31 PM

Also,

Can I suggest posting your pics in your Manx Club gallery:

http://www.netspot4u.com/~manxclub/gallery/AS0051

And then linking to them from here. Means the piccies will be bigger and saved for prosperity :)

is that a steel or aluminium checkerplate? if steel, isnt going to be a bit heavy? whats going to run it?

11CAB - October 11th, 2004 at 07:01 PM

Looking good. good luck with your time frame :thumb

Baja Wes - October 11th, 2004 at 07:52 PM

It looks alot like a Brad pan. It's steel checker plate, 2mm from memory so not much difference in weight to a stock pan but much stronger.

MickH - October 12th, 2004 at 12:30 AM

MikeM...just coming for a visit. If you send me a password for the Manx site i will post there as well. The pan is a little heavier than the original one but well and truely makes up for it in strength. Yes Brad made the pan and it was well made. It has a adjustable link pin front and IRS adjustable rear end (CUSTOM OFFROAD) and 3 inch body stiffener as well. The engine is a 1916 Pobjoy(not steroid) and the injection kit is a redline webber with 48mm throttle bodies. I get to spend from 8 till midnight working on it so I've decided to pull me finger out and get it finished!!!!Will post more pics nightly. Hope to get the body on in the next 2 days......
