Club level would probably suit, or other low key events held by 'drivers clubs' or similar! Low dollar entry level stuff!

if your after gravel road style rally, try the brisbane sporting car club, they do alot of that and the KCF rally sprints, which is like permenant rally track a couple of k's long.

to get into the qld rally championships, your going to need proper rally car, eg full cage etc etc, the KCF i think only requires a road car, if you want to have a go a alternative i autocross, which is a smaller verison on a 1.2km track. you only need a tin top (no open wheelers) and usually safety gear for level 2 eg extingisher, good belts, etc

Ill check out the KCF, and chase you up about autocross when i get some brain space!
Cheers

So could I complete in this class in a Manx? Or do I need a roof? Does a buggy count as an open wheeler?

With the autocross meets are owner builder buggies compliant ( with a roof and stone flectors) , not the usual XRay welds dollar a second kinda outlay to get some form of insurance?

link to IWMAC

this has more details, send the contact an email and they should get back to you. As i understand it, if its road registered its fine, if its sedan based or sports car based its fine (might have to run a full face helmet though). i THINK its things like formula fords and such like, but i could be wrong.
