Hey guys,
Was wondering if there is a larger capacity fuel tank available that will fit into the standard tank location in a Manx????
I thought i saw something about this many years ago when i was only dreaming about owning a buggy!!! but i can remember where i saw if now!!!

They will build custom alloy ones to suit your vehicle. Price varies.
I know (have heard) Terry is gettting one installed in his Baja so i guess they can get them from somewhere. I made me own.... bit rough but should do teh job.
Andy42. Am interested in how you made your own and what capacity it now is ?
Mark.
Well I bought a sheet of 2mm ally and cut and bent and welded (tig) and as soon as it is totally done will let you know how much it holds but from rough calculations (very rough) i am guessing around teh 70L mark give or take 5L. I have seen better looking welds but I pressure tested it and it does not leak. I do have a 4 inch body lift and 2.5 inch chassis lift so that made it easier to get a good size in there and retain clearence around everything.
70 litres!!!!!! Shit!!! Could drive to Brisbane and back!!! hahaha

Andy42 - that is excellent. 70 litres would be fantastic in a buggy. Was it just normal grade alluminium or something special ?
Daz67 - did you make your own ?

Well its not a manx it is a max Fx (same thing at the front anyway)and we will see how much reinforcing it needs when it is finally finished. probably run some staps from the floorpan and the fire wall. to suport the tank.
