Perth Off Road Dubbers hamburger hoon
Desert Moose - April 14th, 2005 at 08:46 PM

meet at the big M at Malaga, on Sunday night and go to Alfred's hamburgers and then so on (freo, n/bridge and kings park)

I was thinking about meeting at about 6.30ish but thats open....... put down your view's and will see what happens

Brain and I will be working till 4.30 in Welshpool and Danny will be in his truck around then as well. thats why I went with 6.30.........

we could always do the drive-in again then hamburgers after as it may get a little cool......lol

anyway :thumb

A cruise sounds good, count me in. I like the cruise around northbridge, freo etc idea better than going to the drive in.

It looks like good weather for it this weekend.

WABaja - April 14th, 2005 at 10:43 PM

If you're going to Northbridge, you can count me OUT...

That or I'll bypass that leg and meet you somewhere else...

Desert Moose - April 14th, 2005 at 11:05 PM

I only started an idea of where to go and happy to go anywhere

WABaja - April 15th, 2005 at 04:20 AM

Forecast for Sunday Night..

Low:
15°C

Partly Cloudy

Wind:
From the Southwest at 10 mph

Precip: 20 %

Max. Humidity: 74 %

Bring a jacket...

With SLEEVES this time Moose...:P

64vwmark - April 15th, 2005 at 03:52 PM

There's no real need to go to northbridge.

Seeing that this is a hamburger hoon, maybe we could go to hamburger hill at burswood?

Kings Park would be good, then down Stirling Hwy to Freo?

Any other ideas?

A Burger crawl. that would have to be a first surely................

tinsfci - April 15th, 2005 at 11:01 PM

Count me in, at least to turn up to Maccas. I am still not totally happy with how the beast is running so may not risk a long drive.

WABaja - April 16th, 2005 at 12:29 AM

If it gives up, we can go get my Tow Truck...:P

Brian915 - April 16th, 2005 at 12:47 AM

Desert Moose - April 16th, 2005 at 02:02 AM

64vwmark - April 16th, 2005 at 09:12 PM

So it's 6:30 then?

I'll stay on the light beer tomorrow (V8 supercars are on). Had a big day today, everything's a little foggy now, is that good?

Gave the buggy an oil change today. Need to top up the tranny though, is getting noisy. Does anyone have a 17mm allen key bit I could borrow please?? I tried to find a suitable tool for it today without much luck. Geez they are hard to find!!

Desert Moose - April 16th, 2005 at 09:30 PM

sorry mate ....I didn't think you needed it now. I will be going to the workshop in the morning.....if you want I will give you a call so you can come pick it up. Just send you number by u2u cause i'll only be there for about 15min then off to brians in kewdale

tinsfci - April 17th, 2005 at 02:25 PM

My buggy will not be going anywhere until I work out why it is running so rich. Anyone got a spare seat for tonight? I will see you all at 6.30.

I didn't reply cause I'll be in Brookton on that weekend at an off road race (Brookton is about 2.30hr out of Perth) and I didn't think you would want to drive all that way after coming in from Kal...:thumb

Desert Moose - April 18th, 2005 at 07:47 PM

WABaja - April 18th, 2005 at 08:52 PM

What a shame they didn't make it... but they wouldn't have fitted in anyway... We only had red and black cars last night and there weren't enough parking spots at Alfreds for another car...:D:thumb:P

But seriously... it would be good to see them along at future events...:)

64vwmark - April 18th, 2005 at 09:17 PM

I think I will take some gloves next time.

ahhh thanks for the reminder.... gunna put mine in now before I forget.....lol

64vwmark - April 18th, 2005 at 09:33 PM

I like Simon and Simone's buggy. I might do my front indicators like that too.

tinsfci - April 19th, 2005 at 03:11 PM

Mark

My body....well OK my buggy body has the indicators in the same position as that. There is a raised flat section of glass for them to sit on. Like mine that one has a fixed bonnet.
This may back up the theory that yours is an earlier production model. I think some later Taipans had a moulded in roll hoop. A while ago someone posted photos of an early J&S (pre Taipan). I will find the pictures and see where the indicators were on that one.

tinsfci - April 19th, 2005 at 03:19 PM

Check this link:

No indicator bumps on the green meanie. Can't tell if the bonnet is moulded on or not.
