What ever the minimum he will take for it is start low he will only say no and just work up in small amounts just point out to him that there is a lot of work to do and this engine may not even go gearbox may be stuffed remmeber start low his response may suprise you and you may get a cheap toy best of luck to ya mate
looks a lot easier than starting from scratch aye !!!!
thats where ive been for 4 months a cut back beetle and no more progress . steel and time arnt to easy to come by.
cheers, big boys toys are fast toys!!
That looks like a Class 6 offroad racer, they call it Challenger Class and is supposed to be a cheap entry level to get into Offroad Racing. Basically
uses all VW components and a limited 1600 vw motor.
Check out the classifieds in http://www.offroadracing.com.au
That might give you an idea as to worth.
Graham
Note: My approximation is not a run of the mill guess, (I was a bit hard on myself but I do know some things), but its an educated guess, from the
experience that i have gained not only from being a avd member for a few months, but also my experience in looking at the values and prices of cheap
cars for firsts. That is, the experience of surfing almost everyday to the australian car sales web sites and seeing + comparing prices with the
features the cars come with. (As well as offroad automobiles).
What does anyone else think its worth?
(Note: im not purchasing [sorry if there may have been a misunderstanding, but that wasn't an offer], but that was what you requested. That is, a
price in which it would be worth (Which was my approximation))
I wouldn't mind getting into cheap offroad racing as a hobby, sounds like mad fun.
Just to clear up things thats all.
Good luck with the buggy and all mate.
Dont be under the assumption that offroad racing is a cheap sport........Class 6 is supposed to be a cheap entry level, but the top end Class 1 cars
can be worth a couple of hundred thousand dollars.
Most state and national races you would be lucky to get change from $500 for the entry fee plus your CAMS membership and club membership fees......and
then you get out to the race of which the closet is a 2 hour drive away and you get 200m down the track and break your gearbox.....put it on the
trailer and thats the end of your race...... Those Offroad Racers are nutters......:thumb
Thanks for revealing the reality of it all (I never took the pricing of the sport besides the car advertised here into account), spose just stick to
the offroad play in the dunes with the buggy ay? (Cause as some of u know, i intend on getting one some time in the future)
It sux how its so expensive, oh well. I wonder how most race drivers get into the situation where they have all that money to spend. Maybe rich
parents or own a buisness or something.
onya Chris you have an opinion
so Ruckus
if you cant type don't write or if you cant laugh dont joke!!
Go easy on him ..."his only a kid" lol
at least Chris was honest.
My granddaughter has an opinion too.
Value for money often guides the opportunity to make a decision.
Enjoy!
ruckus is allowed to hate kids...he has to work with em
i'd go a guess to be worth around $1,500
Desert moose ore WA Baja would be able to give you a better idea on the value.

if it has a "cams log book" it would be a good car for about $1000 to $1500. If it doesn't have the book it will never race again as it dosen't
meet todays rules (at all) so as a farm car it some good fun at $500
hope this helps, if you need more info send u2u
btw .... I think that car may have some history. Give Bill Croft from Unicap a call, it looks like one of his old bangers (1983/84)
thans moose
yeah i was looking at for farm type use just a bit of fun
cheeers for the info
