Baja Bus / Lifted Kombi Front Beams now availible

For all those people out there who want a lift in life Custom Offroad now offers Baja Bus beams with up to 4" plus of lift. These beams use the plate
lift method and also have adjusters fitted so you can have the best of both worlds.
Once fitted you can simply slide your beam up and down to suit your driving requirements.

I'm not too sure about this, but I know that u guys have the same thing available for the beetle chassis (for buggies and bajas). But (I'm not to
sure on this), can 4 inches make a real difference?
I'm not bagging, and im not saying its not, I was just wondering.

there is nothing like this avail for a beetle / buggy /baja ... these are for bay Window Kombi's only .. could be for splits as well.

Whats the situation with the legalities of this method? Would you need an engineers cert?
you guys should make adjustable springplates too...

id like to do that to a kombi not the one i have now it cant even get up a gutter but the way i drive id end up on my roof and an extra 4inch up front
would make a kombi huge they are already big

Ok good question.. basically teh beams themselves are LEGAL .. but fitting them to your bus requires and inspection. In QLD max lift via plates is 2"
and adjusters is 2" So at 2" they are fine. In NSW you need to get an engineer inspection also but I understand that there is no limit on height
down there. That is how CBB get theirs through.
We do not make adjustable spring plates as yet due to the fact that most I have seen are too weak for off road duties. Only takes about an hour or so
to do the rear torsion bars.

Its suprising how hard that actually is, I've certainly tried.....
I've had mine on two wheels going around a corner when I clipped the gutter, sure gave the guy in the 4wd a shock....also came close on the Manx Club
Night Nav run a while ago, but to date its never tipped over......:thumb

I had mine on two wheels but mine isn't as hi as yours when i think about it i have never herd of a rolled baja kombi but as i remmember dave is
still cleaning the skid marks out of his pants after the night nav run
