Wouldn't be too hard to make but I'm not sure if it would be legal in Queensland... I think by law there must be protection for the full track of the car within the two top thirds of the wheel hight?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong (cause it is a sweet looking bar)

yeah i know it would be illegal but hell if they are gonna do me for my car theres more than just the bullbar.........

Mad Manx is that red buggy in your signature yours.?? Coz that doesn't look to be covering the full track width of the car...???:duh

Anthiron if you really want one of those they are available by mail order from the U.S but any welder/metal shop would be able to make a copy of it if you take them a couple of photos and the car it needs to go on...

Trust me mate, that's not the right approach. Keep the obvious things looking legal and you won't get hassled about the less obvious things.

Full width front bumper on the front of a Baja or a Buggy is pretty much a must have. When a cop car is driving towards you the front bar is the most obvious of defects. Plenty of people have been pinged for it over the years and they will pull you over for it, then go over your car with a fine tooth comb.

There are good looking front bars around. You just need to look a bit more.

WABaja yes it is my manx in my sig..... but my manx gets trailered to where ever I drive it as its not registered so I went for the looks when I built the front bar (by the way I do have a twin spar front bar that connects to my existing bar for when I do decide to re-rego my manx).

dare I say it, but most exhaust shops could probably bend up the tube for you as long as you don't want it with too much wall thickness. For most bumpers you don't want monsta wall thickness anyway. Thick walled exhaust piping stuff might be just the ticket. At least fo talk to them first. I reckon this would be the cheapest option, then just get a mate to weld it up for you.

BTW, my car only has a bar cover the middle, ie the bonnet, I'm not sure about regs but it was certified with this setup, so go figure eh?

Anthiron

Man I was too busy lokkin at the one piece F/Glass front end to notice the bar. Where did the picture come from?

Oh' yeah, by the way, knock one of them up yourself. Hire the bender from someone like Coates Hire for the weekend. Some CDS tube, basic tools, and a few ales for inspiration, and bang, one front bar............

Cheers

Here's a very similar bar on a Baja I saw in Oz, its had an extra bar added to cover the full width of the tyres.
