Buggy/soft-top owners, what do you clean your windows with?

How do people clean the PVC side screens on their buggies and soft tops?

I find it very difficult to get mine clean and streak free.

What do you use?
How do you do it?
How do you care for the rest of the soft top?

I never "cared for" the soft top on my buggy except to wash it regularly and to only fit it when it needed to be there. In summer I fitted a separate bikini top and fitted the wet weather top only when it was wet. That minimised the amount of time it spent in the sun/weather. I fitted a new rear window because the old one was hopelessly cloudy and I had new side curtains so I never had a visibility problem. Once clear plastic windows go cloudy they must be replaced nothing will solve that problem.

That said. To keep the side screens as streak free as possible they can be wiped with a soft cloth and a weak mild soap/detergent solution. If they are slightly soapy or detergenty the rain will form a smooth surface on them. Keep a soapy cloth to wipe the outsides for a smooth rain surface and the insides to minimise fogging up. Use of more potent chemicals such as Windex will not be good For them.

Use MR SHEEN...........I use this on my boat clears.......and yes it will fix mild clouding !

You will be very happy with the result.;)
