six rib gearbox in a t1 chassis

I know the 2ltr box is popular with offroad racing but has anyone fitted a 1800 six rib box to a type one chassis? Thinking of attempting this on a road going ej20t powered '69 ghia.

I've ran both the 5-rib 1800 and 6-rib 2L in my car.

so why do you want an 1800 box? the ratios are all wrong for a light turbo car with street tyres. you want an Lbug box, the right ratios, just as strong and fits straight into the ghia chassis.
