mine is in the standard spot, but I'd suggest mounting it in the front of the car for better weight distribution if you can manage it. I'm trying to figure out how to do this myself at the mo.

I have mine mounted at the front passanger side floor, it's ok but leaves passenger leg room a bit cramped.

Bit of work, but some people have machined hatches in the front for storage. I don't mind the look of it either.

(just some ideas for ya)

In my buggy I had a battery space and a wheel space in the rear, so the battery went in the rear.

In the SR it will go in the front, where there is a good sized well, because there is nowhere else to put it.

can u still mount it in the standard beetle place my buggy will be a sharpbuilt one?

See no reason why u can't with the sharpbuilt. U have the body sitting in its usual position, and its a lwb, so the rear seat setup would be like a stock bug (cause the rear storage compartment is still available).

in the pic, u can see where it sits. so the metal bar that supports the rear beach seat would come forward and float over like standard, nad u got urself the standard battery compartment. might have to drill holes forthe battery leads to go through.
