dose anyone make custom ring gears and pinion shafts for a transaxle or am i dreaming...?

Yes Albins do, but you'll probably find that the aftermarket ones are not a lot stronger than the standard jobbies. VW made excellent parts generally. People don't break a ring and pinion first up. Generally it's the spider gears in the diff that go, then first gear. The ring and pinion would only be compromised if the sideplate moves on beetle boxes. Heavy duty sideplates fix this. Kombi boxes are even stronger. The 2l 091 has the strongest ring and pinion. Why do you want a custom one, ratios?

I Smashed a Kombi Pinion to pieces with a 2L Type 4 and 33 inch Mudders.....the spider gears were fine......

hey nahh i havnt broken one it was a question for a mate whos playing with a diff i dont realy know thanx fellas. Yea pete we should have a chat u are quite in the know how of things ill try to use u2u lets see if it works ......:)
