VW offroad Sat 21st - 22nd October, Lithgow NSW about 2 hours west sydney. Everybody VW or in a 4x4 who likes watching people have fun come along.
Looks like there could be up to 7 VW's including beetles, bajas and buggies.
The place we go is just off the freeway. There are challenging tracks for all, and easy ways around if needed. (I have taken a stock beetle there
before and come home alive). Plenty of spots to sit back and watch the buggies and 4x4 battle on.
At the end of the day nobody will be left behind with plenty of spares on offer.
Unfortunately I will only be there on the Sat. You can camp or stay in a great pub for about $30 which includes meals.
Those interested and havent' been before I will be at the twin servos rooty hill 7am Sat in a yellow sharpbuilt buggie. cheers clarkey. my number
is 0409 698616.
Sounds great Clarkey. I just wish I wasn't on the other side of the country. I hope you get plenty of photos for us over here.
Mark

p.s. Sorry Clarkey, no offence, just feeling very frustrated.
Pete, thats no good, is it car trouble or fun police. If its your car I may have a seat for you? the question is are you a spectator or player?
Also word is, a good turn out will be at stockos first weekend November. Camping on the dunes is something I look forward to.

where abouts are the twin servos at rooty hill?
ohhhhhh Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm that sucks i so wanna come but u know how it is have a few more weeks of work to do on my buggy before its drivable ohhhhhh Poo. hey HEL-70Y i think i saw your car at Klaack motors a couple of weeks ago i must say i like it and it made me more determined to build mine cause it looked like so much fun
its probably not rooty hill but its just near eastern creek raceway...
you mean the twin servos on the m4?
So the one heading west i guess?
heltoy yes thats right, I know for sure there will be 1 buggie, 1 baja, 1 beetle goingi. Possibly 5 other buggies hopefully. Us 3 will be there raining or whatever.
Clarky - You have U2U.
B.
no no no not rain again! Really bad experince last time i went away in the rain, i havnt sealed off my car yet, she still lets in water. dont know if
ill be coming if it rains.
...on second thought ill bring a couple old towls to sponge up the floors and advise my mate to wear thongs so his shoes and socks dont get wet ...i think i have truly lost the plot
also met a bloke doing up a white j&s and invited him down, not sure if he'll turn up, definitly not if its raining as he has no roof.
Will see you at the twin servos at 7 on Saturday Clarkey.
It wont rain.....and even if it does in Sydney it wont rain in Lithgow

I haven't found a dub yet that doesn't fill up. Mine usually goes a few inches in the creek crossings if I get stuck, but drains out quick enough.
Mick is right drill the holes plug them if you want. It would be a shame to let wet feet stop you.
See you guys at the servo.
at this stage numbers are looking good could be up to 8 vw's.
Anyone with a beetle, spring up the back, and come along, no worries. There are easy tracks to get to the same places if your heart isn't up to
it.
If Ian shows up in the yellow manx you will see just what swb VW can do with stock motor and suspension..
Bronze made a deciscion?
Mark good to hear your coming, is Adrian coming?
A beer at the end of the day can be had at the Rydal Pub. cheers clarkey.,

The wife is on my case about going to Newcastle for some niece or nephew coming in to the world. I keep telling her there will be more, this is only
the first.
Reliability is a bit of a worry too. It's been parked in the back yard for nearly three years. Dubbo to Bathurst might be pushing my luck for a first
run. But, hey you never know, the baby could come early leaving me here alone with nothing to do but go for a drive.
Thank for the details Clarky.
Bronze.
Not happy Jan . I turned up at 7.00 am and waited till 8.am no one turned up. Sucked in I suppose.:jesus
So how did it go?
A ran a 750k round trip to and from Newcastle as my test run. Would have easily made it to Lithgow but there wasn't a new niece to see their. I was
under wifes orders to meet her in Newcastle. Stayed Satnight and returned.
So - Post some pics and tell me all the tall lies.
B.
My first time off-roading and loved it =) total of 5 buggies + one beetle
turned out to be an awesom day with no rain didnt stop my buggy filling
up with with water though after driving through some of those creeks/river thingos.
Cougarbeachbuggy - i was there at 6:30AM and didnt leave until probably close to 8ish, you should of called me! which servo did you go to?
Sorry i didnt get any pics, and video camera ran out of tape at the very start so i got all the boring parts recorded
but will hopefully get a cd and some pics sent to me.
Yes, it was a good day, sorry we missed you cougar.
All bugs performed well, the only car needing a tow was ian in the yellow manx, his driving skills let him down again when he got bogged in a small
mud hole. The beetle performed well but was forced to take it easy when the clutch started slipping, Adrian in his JS was able to make to the top of
the hill however Blue JS 'failed' being only inches from the top. Heltoy performed great considering his low unprotected sump. He did make a most amazing climp to the top of the mountain.
Well done..
Anyone got any pics...
I think I need to come along to one of these runs with my cameras and heaps of memory!
Would make a good feature story.
