Cq offroading trip
mattie182 - October 19th, 2006 at 07:57 PM

The first Trip for the new year for the Manx Club in Rocky, will be a three day camping trip to Five Rocks. The home to the Byfeild State Forest, Five Rocks has long been the mecca for 4WD in the CQ area. Driving it takes about 1.5-2 hours from Rockhampton.
Accomdation will either be camping or there are houses available for those chasing a bit extra comfort. There are no shops up there, so you will need to cart enough supplies for the weekend but we will have 4wd's going to help and be packhorses for peoples gear

Heard of a new way to Byfield...head north from the Caves towards Rossmoya and then east on Todd Rd (remember it)which takes you to Upper Stoney and Byfield from there and then on to Five Rocks. We'll have to check it out.
