id like to get some kind of an idea as to what tyre pressures ppl out there are running for normal driving
pls include type of car ie manx, baja, baja bus, thing etc.
and the size of your tyres
Bus
205/55/16 tyres
44 psi rear, 36 psi front
Manx, 35psi in the back 31x10.5x15 cant remember the front but it doesn't really matter i dont think. I drove around with 1 front tyre flat for days and didn't even notice...
165 R 15s on the front and Yokohama Super Digger Light Truck 9.50 15s on the rear and 15 pounds all round on a Baja chop top, on the road. Much less
on sand.
Regardless of what vehicle you drive or the size of your wheels and tyres a radial tyre needs a slight bulge at the bottom to run properly and safely.
That's what causes my tyre pressures to be what they are, not anything that could be found in an owner's manual. Most tyre fitters have no idea that
buggies and Bajas need lower pressures if the wheels and tyres are over size from standard.
Run your own tests until the tyres bulge just right and they feel safe in use.
yeah thanks richard
im actually running 10r15's n the rear and 215/75/15's on the front with 15psi in my manx's also i thought id post this cause ive met a few guys
running30- 33psi on 10r's and 32's on buggies and baja's it just made me wonder imo its way too high
