Well I've had this since last year, but now the build has started in ernest.
First task was replace the bent balljoint beam, while I was there I cut and turned it as well
I fitted up new discs on the front and overhauled the calipers, and I've also setting up a VN commodore rear disc setup
Then things took a turn for the worse......
I picked up a lift kit
I then decided that since I'm pulling off the body to install the lift kit I might as well add this as well....
Now if I go to all this trouble, then it would be silly not to convert it over to IRS....then this comes home..
So this is where it sits after this weekend
I've also got this to go in the rear, and then a Kombi gearbox and 2L type 4 as well......
Funny how one simple plan turns into one mamoth rebuild!
The kids don't need any room to play in the back yard anyway
o so familiar story...........good on ya!
Looks like a great project.
Wont take long, just bolt a few bits together...
And get that swing set out of the way and it'll give you plenty of space for the next project
hehe my junk went from Samfor to Deagon :>
nice project man, keep us posted on progress
I like it. Should make for an interesting build.
Did that Baja come from Singleton NSW area ?

i know nothing about buggies or bajas...but what is the point of that lift kit which looks no more than 35 to 50mm? just curious
Well 50mm is the largest lift kit you can go in QLD and this includes 4wd....lifting the body up gives more clearance for bigger tyres.
It also stiffens up the chassis heaps
ahh remember darrens back yard

i have the side bars front and rear bars to fit as well if your interested u2u me
