Hey everyone!!!
Got my manx back on the road and it's looking great!!!
Was wondering what ppl have been doing for wipers???
I've got a VW beetle wiper motor - the one where the arms 'clip' on NOT bolt on. I have some short arms that clip onto it that i was using prior to
the resto but can't find any wiper assemblies that are short enough.
The end of the wiper arm has a loop on it that hooks into the wiper assembly - if that helps??
Any advice or previous experiences would help as it rained the other day (unexpectedly) so it was a fun drive home!!!! (luck i had the soft top
on!!)

I used assemblies from the back windows of small japanese hatchbacks. This gave me wiper blades of a length I could use, then shortened and bent the arms to suit the windscreen.
Cool thanks mate. What did they use on them in the "olden days"???? (ie before japanses hatchbacks!!! When they were a new kit.)
Marty
They used the standard Beetle wiper arms, I needed to get better coverage on my screen so I got the longer blades and adjusted the arms.
My mate uses Commodore head light wiper blades from about a VK Calais
But i think his windscreen is shorter
OK - found an old picture
HaHaHa Just a little bit shorter windscreen!!!! The drver's about 3 foot tall to see through that one!!! :-)
Yeah - me mate has one of those leather flying caps with goggles when he takes it for a blat
It more acts as a wind delector
Hi Marty
Great looking buggy mate. I dont have enough posts to pm you so I have to post this question here.
Is that a microtech injection controller mounted to your lower dash ? I have a supa sports build going and would llike to run injection could you
spare some time to chat about your system ?
Cheers
