Hey guys
another question, what are the best recovery tools to have with the baja bug when off roading or sand dunning etc?
What do u guys use?
or what do u wish u could have used??

Firstly where are you located? If people want to go out offroading with you they have to know where you are So fill out your profile details.
In my Baja I have some fairly basic stuff.
- a few heavy tow ropes
- a large scissor jack (amazingly this is all I have needed so far. Have used it to get out of soft sand, mud, deep ruts, and wedged in a ditch.
Obviously I'm not getting stuck well enough 
)
- small folding shovel
- square of timber for jacking on sand
- air compressor and tyre pressure gauges
That's about it, very simple kit but it's all in the car at all times.
As good as your kit is you need good strong recovery points to make use of it. There's no point having the gear if you recovery points are too
weak/unsafe to use it.
I have some heavy tow hooks on the front of mine, they are for 4WDs so my front end is going to come off before they break. The are bolted in place
with high tensile, fine thread bolts. And have worked a treat when I was towed up a hill by another (extremely more powerful) Baja.
Lastly, one of the best tools I have found is people. Bajas/buggies are so light that a few people can normally lift/shove/carry/shunt/push them
out.
So always takes some mates with you

Also one more thing. Was just looking at the picture above and thought I might mention that I welded crush tubes into the bar for the bolts.

Hey Smiley do you have a build thread or images of your baja. Interested in looking at some.
Also I always carry a recovery strap, there is always some one willing to help, and a puncture repair kit (cause I don't carry a spare atm).
