Has nice Ratty `60/`61 only tail lights, well one lense was in really good condition so I swapped it for a shitty one(!)
I`ve got the correct "Popes Nose" number plate light to go on there, the later one has been fitted over the original Semi-W Deck-lid.

SWEET INTERIOR!!......................

vwtyp2 - September 23rd, 2004 at 02:44 PM

I think you've captured the "aged" look really well Gra.

pyr0 - September 23rd, 2004 at 03:19 PM

now thats a sweet lookin rat you've got there :) ill bet you cant wait till she's on the deck ;)

57 Chook Shed - September 24th, 2004 at 07:50 AM

Yeah Dan, she sure has the "aged" look, it`s something that only 44 years in a hot climate can create!
I`ll get round to picking up that "aged" badge off you soon Dan, life`s just a bit hectic at the moment.
pyr0, I`d really love to spend abit of time and re-work the beam to the max! i.e narrow and lower the fuck out of it!!
Cheers
Graham.

pyr0 - September 24th, 2004 at 08:42 AM

hmmm narrowed beam :D now we are talkin, its not low enough till it scrubs the top of the guards :P

matara - September 24th, 2004 at 08:52 AM

Its not often you see the original radio blanking plate in an early bug! Poor thing has had to suffer 44 years of Australian Idol wannabe's singing along in it. :blush

Steve

vwtyp2 - September 24th, 2004 at 10:23 AM

when you do the beam, let me know.
I've got one sitting here for my '54 and some new adjusters to go in it.
maybe we could do them both at the same time.

57 Chook Shed - September 24th, 2004 at 01:12 PM

Better get my priorities right first though. Just hooked up a battery,12V Coil and gave her a fresh drink................
She`s running on 2 cylinders and the sychro has gone on 2nd Gear!!!!!!!!!!
Bugger!
That`s what you get when you shell out a whopping $200 I suppose!
Got that 1600 Type 3 motor and a couple of type 3 IRS back ends here so might brew up some kind of evil beast with that lot.
Wouldn`t mind just throwing in a good early swing axle gearbox though and just clearance it for the 1600, great for getting up these hills!
Gra.
