I know you can get beams from creative.
get in contact with Roy at classicvw(pacific).
he is bringing stuff over from the u.k.
maybe he can get you one.

Nice one Brendon.
I'm waiting for the right splitty to do the same.
as low as I can without body bods, so I can put it back should I ever feel the need.

Over the years I have met quite a few people that have bagged kombis. They are usually ignorant and don't understand the passion of owning an older car.

Usually when they bag a kombi they say things like
"They catch on fire really easy"
"They are just a bucket of bolts"
"You will die in a head on smash"

;)

i have priced this up before ,i think you are looking at 7 to 10k min , the beam from classic vw (pacific)is $1340 then you will need to put all the bits into the beam plus brakes then you need to buy the bags ,compressor fittings and other bits probably comes in a kit (not cheap) then it has to be fitted and thats just the front possably tubs ,a plus side is the bay windows allready have irs so it maybe cheaper than a split, i think talking to roy at classic will clear alot if things up.
i cant wait to see it when its done
