spoke to my engineer today about my propossed project.

4inch chop top yes

cycle gaurds yes

beam extension yes

engineers certificate
cost $350-$400 fully street leagul.:bounce

can someone help me post pics.
26 hours into it and ive chopped roof 4inches
all external welding completed,roof,a pillars,b pillars and rear quarters and door tops.
its really starting to take shape, keep you posted.

STOPPA have u chopped a top before i read though an article on http://www.volksrods.com  man apparently beetles are amoungst the hardest of all cars , keep us posted id love to do one one day , and laern from someone elses experiences "cheaper way" looks awesome good luck...

Nice shape to the side windows. That is what makes a chop.

I noticed you haven't widened the roof. Hope you don't have too much bend
for the front side glass to move. It's amazing the impact that the inch and half
makes.

im running on the same time table mate im hoping that my red sbug will be ready for its first run by then, bear in mind mines taken 2 1/2 years and is a little more extreme in the rebuild than this but yours looks good mate

front apron is getting reshaped plus the rear.
i forget the tools name but it was worth $96.00.
Barls that some nasty shit with your dub i can feel its pain.

Todays progress,roof ready for filler primer, templates made for all the glass.
next cut n sew new hood linning,thats easy as im a upholsterer with years of exp with rods.
then make rear cycle gaurds and so on,,,,,,,,ect.
can someone tell me how to raise the rear suspension,and also lift the front as it has adjusters,
