a little off-topic i know, but digging around under the house the other day i found one of my old toys, a ladies Murray Star bicycle frame from the
40s, the frame had been painted straight over the original paint many decades ago, and i have spent many hours sanding that paint off to uncover the
amazing metallic blue and red 2tone underneath with acres of hand done pinstriping on every single tube of the frame. i recon these pro pinstripers
of the 20s-40s were absolute masters, and uncoverint their work is just amazing to do, will have to post some pics soon, but has anyone else tried
this? i recon a bike of that period sanded back to original paintwork stripes and all would make a mean display next to a rat dub
I had a Laurencia one like that with nutz pinstriping
