now livin in WA
volksrod on its way with toll should be here in ten days any other volksrods here in the west?
I'm not sure if there are any other Volksrods here in WA, but whatever the case, please bring it to the next Day of the VW in December.
Yo stoppa,
Welcome to WA. You staying or passing through?
I don't think theres any V'Rods here...rego'd anyway. You might be the first m8.
Wayne
im here for good Wayne
dont know how ill go getting it regoed?
should be here next wed.
Our rego guys are strict but fair. If its within the rules you'll be fine.
Cant wait to see it too....
W
can't be worse than NSW. I'm sure you'll be fine.
Dessert Moose (Chris at Idlewild offroad) sold his Rat beetle to a guy who was goindg to build a rat type rod, not sure who he sold it to though.
From what Chris told me going to spend some dollars on it.
Cheers

spoke to an engineer on friday he said that they would reconiz my nsw engineers report here in wa,see how we go, dam ive had a good response in the volksrod here in the west .trying to lay low at the moment aparantly the cops are yellow sticker crayzee here in the west.
Hey Stoppa
I miss being a Westy, its great over there! The one thing that the cops love to do to any car in W.A that is either neglected or modified in ANY way
is give it the canary (yellow sticker)! They may pick on you a little to be honest, but if you have the right paper work in the car you should be
fine. There aren't many if any Volksrods in W.A due to the strict licensing and engineering regulations. The 'yes no man' in charge is a total
dickhead, ask any of the Hot Rodders in W.A, most have had major problems getting things passed. They cant wait to see the back of him. A friend of
ours (another VW lover) worked at the Kelmscott licensing centre for many years until he had enough of the bullshit and stress of changing rules and
regs.
Ash x
ill just play the game,i built a hotrod here back in 1999 iknow exactly what you mean.
it's a great feeling knowing that a man with experience building rods, who apparently prepared a volksrod in 3 weekends is now here in my state...
now to commence stalking!
seriously though, it's good to have someone with experience around town, it might be just what's needed to put some life into the vw scene and
rodding in general, i hope you'll be cruising that volksrod around perth.
if you're here for the long haul, perhaps you can take on chopping some bugs? there will be demand once people see your squashed beetle rolling
about.
i have the roofless one that was at the rod show last year.(see AV) .still wanting to get some lights etc to see if they'll allow it.....otherwise it'll just be a trailer queen
hey stoppa, i have a rat67 back in adelaide, who did you use for transport, toll? and how much was that?
she could be way too low/troublesome for truck transport
any clues?
