Finnaly started some work on the body, gotthe wheels and a 30 ford front axle on the way.
Looking good and i love the idea of using the shipping crate to sit the beetle on it looks like it fits perfectly.

Ahh my old Bug! Good to see something she is being used and not sitting in the yard
Cheers Bill
Yeah mate, started the chop the other week, I'll need to check the welds on the cut that was done before I got her.
But looking good, will bead blast her soon but so far still only a little rust.
Don't feel so bad about cutting her seeing as she was already trimed.
Yea main part is she is being used. Sow whats been happening to old Wilson? Started any work on him yet?
Wilsons in the back under cover till I get a bit more room in the shed, the volks is a good start to learn a little more about bugs before I start cutting and replacing panels and pillars I'd rather stuff the volks then wilson and the 58 I've got as well.
Front axle arrived the other day, will post some pictures later, also picked up my new mig, should make it easier to tack together the body panels, well easier than tacking with a tig.
Well I finaly managed to get the pictures of some of the parts I've been chasing up for a while, got a new mig as well that seems ok.
Been so busy with work I haven't been able to progress much, hopefuly I might get some stuff done over the break.
Now thats a decent sized shed.......
The old bug is dead, had to kill it to get the parts and panels I needed, plus it had had lots of badly done work on it.
Well, I've been so busy with work latley I haven't even been able to have a look at anything, but I've got a bit of a break coming up so I'm
getting ready.
This is my home shed, did a tidy up and got the floor ready to extract the engine, just have to set up some of my gear and I should at least be a
small step closer.
Hi
The panel that covers the plenum on the 73, if its not rusty it might get you something on eBay, rust free can be hard to find. As long as its not too
long to post.
Steve
Well I finally managed to make a little progress, it's been slow going but that's bound to happen when you have to focus so much on work.
This is coming along great Glen!
nice, profecional looking work mate, i got a mig last year learnt to weld and my first chop (5 inch) is on its way back together. i'm curious how many chopped vw's there are in australia?
now that's a SHED!
volleyball or badmington?
nice work going on here!
How is this build going?
might wont to check that you can get it regoed ,when i built mine it had to be pre 1972 chassis, nice work by the way looks cool.
Looks good man. Work slowed me down on my rat build too.
Any progress?
Good afternoon gents, I have been slack with updates of late, I could give every excuse under the sun but you could mainly put it down to life getting
in the way and to little time and too many toys.
At the moment I'm setting up a new workshop and moving my cars over to continue working on them, I should be due to order some important parts soon
and get back into it.
I'll be sure to post some pictures as soon as I can and update everything.
Cheers
Glen
