love it... there is a beetle ute that lives near my work. its not a rod.. .but would make an excellent starting point for something like this. I have thought a few times of trying to get my hands on it...
this thing is GORGEOUS!!!!!
i love it.
So cool, so so cool.
now that's cool...and those white walls..mmmm
This thing is unreal. I want to build one!
Love the Hot Rod style door/winscreen mods. Would be interesting to see what they are going to register it as. Hot Rod? VW? ICV Probably, but will need the guards on all 4 wheels, which will detract from the pretty awesome pose it is making at the moment.

Wheelbase change would make it an ICV.

Hey............
This is actually my mums car... we never new pics of it made it to a mag.
The car was originally bought buy my mum as a Baja Ute with a horrid looking tray lol
Car Still looks like the image from the rod shop just more rusty >.< have not had the time and money to keep going with it but its good to see
people like it.
Are they Bed pans? M
Umm well yes, yes they are... lol
(Mum collects weird stuff)
Also a Ducati 750 monster airbrushed with flowers..
Pics of the build as requested.
the NSW rego ran and needed alot to get into Vic Rego, so we decided to make it a cooler ute, and i got to stripping it down.
Picked up a proper bonnet for 20 bucks to replace the baja fiberglass one, extender beams when in and the white walls came and fitted, with the bigger
wheel band for the rear.
Mmmmm Choppy Choppy
Used the 2 rear glass frames from the beetle that donated the roof to make the rear window
Picked up a 1.8lrt Subaru leone motor and a adapter plate for the gearbox.
And that's it, hope you enjoyed =)
Awesome mate! Love it!!!! Thanks heaps for posting the build up pics!!
