What's the go regarding bommer style seats in NSW?
I have heard about covers etc, what are the guidelines?

If you make your own seats then you would have to get them approved to ADR specs, which would be very expensive.

Rather cunningly I just stripped the original seats and kind of skinned them in alloy, then had new bases made and cut holes in the back rest.
So maybe I can convince my engineer man they are OG!
They aint real bommers but look coolish

there use to be a number you could ring and speak to the boys who dealt with the mods day in day out. but the number has disappeared off the site
since they became rms instead of rta.
best be speak to the local guy doing the blueslips and see whos direction he points you in.

Sorry for the thread highjack but how much did you remove for your chop? Looks great without being 2 crazy.
100mm or 4 inches, The most compex thing I ever did!, you need a spare roof, and lots of planning, then lots of time.
Makes me sick when I see people chopping a 32 ford or the likes, they just cut lower and weld job done!
Our cars are so curvey in every dimension the amount of work is 100 times more complex than a square car.
Still I love the look especially the back window.(even though I only took out 100mm the back window shrunk about 200mm because of the slope)
I would say unless you won the Lotto it has to be a DIY job as a body shop would charge many thousands of $$
