Was back out at SMP skidpan for another motorkhana. The 2nd one now with the new setup.
Good bits;
After lots of handbrake issues in the past, it was great yesterday, when I grabbed the right lever,
Car has plenty of power even with only 6psi of boost.
Clutch is great.
Dangerous' trans shifts nice, even back into first on the go.
Engine barely got hot. Sump oil temp rarely got above 50deg all day.
20th outright, so a few higher than last time.
Bad bits;
Still fighting understeer on and off even with 25/48psi pressure front/rear.
WDed on 1 test. I reckon I'd have been higher up the rankings otherwise but oh well.
8secs off the pace on average.
Be keen to find some sort of semi/slick or good road tyre to fit the stock rim. Any ideas?
Here's some vid. BTW, that V8 revving in the background won his class in the Hillclimb championship. I smashed him on the skidpan.
