Alex,

When is the V Force web site going to be finished.??

Alex Holzl - February 9th, 2004 at 04:41 PM

hey sorry about the delay but our other web site designer failed to complete his task so we had to hand the job to someone else who is right one the case i should be on the web in about a week or 2...

fullnoise - February 9th, 2004 at 05:23 PM

If there was a reality TV show that rescued half finished websites you could call them to finish it and make a show out of it.

That worked with Craig's renovations.

Websites can take a long time to get up and running. http://www.yokohama.com.au  took 18 months with professional website developers working on it.

Alex Holzl - February 9th, 2004 at 05:34 PM

fullnoise - February 10th, 2004 at 08:09 AM

It seems Alex is following your philosophy Craig.

You bought your car too didn't you?

It was the Muller & Muller rally car before you owned it was it not?

CT

Craig Torrens - February 10th, 2004 at 09:57 AM

bought mine from Steve Muller in 94' with no motor or gearbox, less the brakes and rear trailing Arms, standard front beam and standard interior! I just bought the car for the shell, pan and rollcage !

What I then Did:
Stripped the car and rebuilt it with the following work by ME

#Interior: put in VDO guages, harnesses, race seat, fire extinguisher, sports steering wheel, battery isolator, and relocated battery to the spare wheel well.
#Front Suspension: Modified a "New" beam, fitted adjusters, castor spacers, camber adjusters, new balljoints, new steering box,new tierods, Bilstein shocks, country buggy beam reinforcers, whiteline swaybars, rebuilt calipers and machined discs, new bearings.
#Rear Suspension: replaced the torsion bars with Type 3, replaced all rubbers with nolethane, fitted type 3 brakes, new wheel bearings and seals. fitted whiteline swaybars, Bilstein shocks, set ride height.
#Gearbox: Built by John Spinks. I supplied all the ratios and Quaife diff. I modified all the mounts and made bracing to the rear parcel shelf.
#Brakes: Fitted all new lines, wheel cyclinders, cables, master cylinder
#Replaced all the fuel lines and fitted an electric pump
#Floorpan was fully painted with the body off.
#Engine: Pobjoy.
#Exterior: fitted new drivers door, and bumpers as well as front guards. Repaired the rust, Then did a quick respray. !!
#Wheels : Greg Wards old wide steel ones !
Then I set the height, toe in/out ,camber, swaybars to MY settings.

So what philosophy is he following CT ???
I didn't Know his car had to be fully rebuilt and completely changed from what he purchased !!!

I thought He bought one already done, the best way to buy !:jesus

Wow if it needs all this work like mine, then he has been ripped off CT.

Or Maybe you did not know how mine was when I bought it.:repuke

That would be cool .:thumb

Nice car, are you still going to sell the motor or are you keeping it ?

Alex Holzl - February 10th, 2004 at 03:30 PM

yeh unfortunatly i have to, to pay my mum back lol. but ill try to keep the fuel injection for another motor in the future... i must say there is a few things to do but we chose to buy this car in stead of gettin an oval shell and starting from scratch was that this car has countless hours and money spent on it... we got a page and a half of all the things that was done to the car from bumper to bumper it would reach the 30grand mark to do it now... is bulladealer on soon?

Alex Holzl - February 10th, 2004 at 03:42 PM

im goin to get it regestered soon so i dont have to get a log book... i have a 1997 cams manual right here too old?... im keen on any racing i just want to get out there... tell me what id hav to do from where im am now to go hillclimbing...

Craig Torrens - February 10th, 2004 at 03:50 PM

You will need a CAMS log book regardless of RTA rego.

1997 CAMS book is waaaaay tooooooooo old
The class has changed several times, so you will need the 2004 manual.

More than Happy to talk to you regarding motor racing at CAMS events.

Will talk soon.
