Has anyone got any pics of access holes in the rear to make carb adjustments and spark plug changing easier ?? I was looking for suggestions on what
to fil the holes in with when not in use ?? All I can think of is a plain panel screw fixed in place.
Its either this or surgery so I can get an extra bend in my hand
I just used alloy panels. with nuts welded to the body on the inside to hold it on. I also put some foam sealing tape on the edge to seal it better.
two little trapezoidal sheets of aluminium: conforms easily to the bodywork and just drill four holes in the corners and whack in some self tappers, it's not like it's under any serious stress.
Thanks for that - Easter job is sorted...
oops. cutting the holes is the hard part.... angle grinder worked the best for me, but a recipro saw would be neater. drill a couple of little pilot
holes in the vicinity, and look thru them to see if you're in the right place. remember the carbs are offset relative to the bodywork so the holes
will be different on each side shouldn't be much bigger than 150mm
square(ish) :thumb
added bonus of making it easier to change/read the sparkplugs too
Ahhh I have the offset manifolds so the carbs are in the same place !!! but the spark plugs arent !!!
Someone put a couple of holes in the sides before I got it but they are in completely the wrong place - nice holes though.
Thanks for the advice :bounce
