I want to manufacture a new alloy fuel tank for the Spyder. The size is about the same as the existing VW tank but will project further forward about
150mm to a wedge. I want to incorporate some baffles as well. Anyone got any ideas on the guage of material and baffle design?

2 - 2.5mm should be fine. I made mine out of 3mm, but I reckon that's a bit of an overkill...
Go for 5005 grade too, and you won't have any trouble with it cracking when you bend it.
Actually , just this morning one of our clients came in with an RCI alloy tank. And that was about 2.4mm thick.
He want's us to quote him on making them in batches of 50 or so....
Have a look at the Drga car !!!
