This Saturday the VWs will be trying to catch the Porsches at Oran Park.
The likely line up is:
Jak in his Superbug
Paul in his Lbug
Deiter in his Superbug
Rudi in his Lbug
& me in my Oval
At least 3 of these guys have over 100hp at the wheels with the other 2 around 90hp.
We should all be giving vws big brother a bit of a scare.
It's a pity I have to drive my car because I'd also like to watch. Unfortunately I can't do both.
I just wanted to share my excitement.

Sweet!!! All the best boys, bring us home some freshly slaughtered carbonfibre:party
Racing for fun is the coolest, just some guys, some pastizzi, some coffee & some hot beetles............what more do u need??
Pastizzi at club meets?!?!?!:bounce hrrm... NSW is sounding damn appealing :o
thats just what we do Cam, I bring the Pastizzi's, Ct brings the coffee & we sit back & watch the porsches roll in...........ahhhh bliss huh?
In the words of Python... You LUCKY, LUCKY BASTARDS!!!
So, if I came racing what would I have to bring then?
your appetitte............
I was going to offer desert, but if we ate all that we'd be going nowhere.
we just have one rule Cam, everybody, it doesn't matter who u are or what u drive, has to leave their ego at the gate.
we're not that serious
Jak
Dude, if I had an ego I wouldn't be racing bugs :P
I'm also bring pastries.
That's important because I'm buying a Porsche 356 engine part in that lovely french currency (pastries that is).
Hopefully my tyres will be as sticky as my fingers.
I'll also have to give up the decaf otherwise my lap times may suffer.

Good luck guys, give em some!
I'm at the hillclimb in Dapto on Sunday. But I'll be there the next round, just come back from a test drive of the Spyder....YIKES!!!!! :thumb
Guys,
What time does racing finish? I might wonder over early arvo with my friend Col the hillclimber on our way to wsid. Keith

Hey Kieth,
The racing usually finishes around 4pm. But it depends on the day. Normally there is a warm up before lunch. Then the timed runs start after lunch and
there's usually about 4 of those for each category. If there's dramas or lots of entrants the day will be longer.
I think there's 60 + entries. That's a good turn out.
Fittingly I pulled up next to a GT3 this morning. I left him in my dust because he wasn't trying. The same may happen on the weekend. Who knows?

That thing passed me twice in the one session! Talk about fast. I've got it on video but it's a bit blury (Just the Porsche that is!).
Good pictures Steve.
It was heaps of fun. Too much inside rear wheelspin. Will have to try and dial that out somehow.
