anybody using the chassis brace/tramp bar set up from the UK, its the type that bolts to the gearbox forks then goes up to the shock towers. The shock
towers are then braced to each other.(Kafer Cup style)
Just wondering how good they are ??
I have usually braced my forks to the parcel shelf and then run a tramp bar under the rear of the engine (mounted off the bumper brackets) but would
like to try the UK/Kafer cup method.
So anybody used this option ??
A few of the guys on shoptalk run the kafer cup brace. I think aircooled.net or CSP in Germany sell them, they're meant to be freaking brilliant!
Greg Ward has one. He had some installation difficulty with it.
They'd save a lot of weight compared to the tramp bar & parcel shelf brackets.
I think it would also be beneficial to keep those stresses at chassis level to prevent cracking the body.

Im using one, its a bit fiddly to get the mounts in the right place initially. I used the two side bars for a start, this stopped the bulk of the axle
tramp -problems.
I plan to get the third bar (over the top) installed sometime soon, this should stop the remaining problem.
Just need to watch where you put the mount behind #3 exhaust, Its easy to get it too close and to run into clearance issues...
I havea Gene Berg type on my Orange Smoooothieee stops teh gearbox shaking around when i leave the line....
they work well.

Im using the CSP bars with a 1 5/8 merge - I had to move it once, because I didnt think about the exhaust... till it was too late. The CSP has the
weld in mounts.
Need to cut a bit out of the inner guard to clear the shock mount for the bar.
Craig I can send you some photos, not much luck trying to post them here.
