Is there any tyre company that makes a road legal 6"semi-slick to use on a beetle. I think the height is 28" i'm after , quite a tall tyre , not
low profile.
Dan
Legally, I would say No...
probably the closest legal tyre would be a wet weather racing tyre...
You have to have tread to pump the water away from the road when its raining.....
Thats safety... and thats all I look at in a tyre....
How it goes in the wet!!!

Mickey Thompson Cheater Slicks
Mc Creary also do em. As long as they are DOT approved they are street leagle.
Mickey Thompson Cheater Slicks 6" wide , with a tallish profile. Matt where do i get them and how much do you guess they would be?
Cheers ears
Dan
Your a life saver!
Been on the ite but can't find any called Cheaters!
Dan
Forget all the usa well known brands becouse they are to big,but MH in the states has put out a dot tyre for vw's so they can race in sport compact street class. 6,7inch wide by 26 tall .check out cal-look forum . Unless you are making 300 plus horse power 28 is to tall.
I have some on my front wheels at the moment, fantastic in the dry but crap in the wet. couple this with big rubber on the rear and a waltzing Ma-tilda we will go........too much fun....
