Its a new take on variable valve timing and lift. It's infinitely variable - and there is no multiple cam lobes (like VTEC or Variocam). Its pretty ingenius

Also the entire throttle body can be done away with as the intake valves can be used to regulate throttle with drive by wire. pretty amazing stuff.

very interesting...

There's a guy I know who is doing a doctorate on engine technologies... He's developing a rotary valve system which has several major manufacturer's interested.
