We're heading there, think it's about the 3rd? Both a supersprint (Conrod straight to the finish line) and a hillclimb on Mountain Straight. Camping
at the top of the mountain with good showers and toilets, should be a bus on the Sat night down and back to the RSL. I've heard its a top weekend and
if earlier in the years NSW Hillclimb meeting was anything to go by, it'll be fantasic.

Can you confirm the date? I'd like to get there and have a go - depending on work committments
Its first weekend of december 3rd/4th. Hillclimb is on Saturday, starting at the winery on mountain straight and finishing at reid park. I've only
had a couple of runs up there but FAAARK its awesome. When you get the cutting at exaclty the right speed with a little drift, knowing that half a
slip and you're wasted, life can come to an end and you wont give a rats.
And then Sunday is the Supersprint from halfway up conrod (starts in the dip) through kink flat out between 160-200kmh if you have any grunt, arsehole
puckered up sucking you to the seat while you try to straighten up, massive amount of brakes to get through the chase, hard on gas pedal up to around
160, massive amount of brakes for Murrays corner, hard on gas up to about 140 over the regular finish line. Not exactly challenging as a driver but a
buzz none the least because of the raw speeds.
I'm carless so I will be there only as spectator. Look for me at the campsite, will be the drunken guy swearing too much.
Is it possible to just do Sunday? I won't be able to do the Hillclimb on Saturday...?
I'm sure that's possible, the sups regs are not out as yet.
ILL BE THERE!!! Will i just need my cams licence present?
alex
Count me in........ about time I blew some cob webs out of the carbs !!!
Peter let me know when the entry is sent.
Cheers

You can do either or both events, they are under different event permits. They're both muticlub speed events, so L2S is minimum licence, road registered cars need only a fire extinguisher, battery triangle and a number etc.
Nice have all of the above!
could be a good turn out for the dubs ay!
alex
Would be good to see Jak and CT as well..................the WRX beast should be well past 200k's down conrod..................that would surprise a few people.
yeah should let them know about the event!
I already know my car does 210 at 7000 rpm but now just gotta get it on paper legally!
What 4th gear you got craigie?
alex
I'm thinking something like this!!!:repuke
Is that a wing or a sunvisor?
yeah let's get lotsa dubbies there. Who wants to camp?
I'd love to have a run at Bathurst, it's on my "Do before I die" list.
Unfortunately my engine will still be in bits. My new Berg goodies won't arrive until Christmas.
I might come and watch if I get a chance. I'd really like to see Alex's car go and to see if Peters sun visor makes a difference.
The in-car video I've got of Greg Ward competing in the hillclimb there is truely amazing.

Craig's video is quite fun to watch, too!
I have just sorted out my CAMS licence and am hoping/planning to have a go

I think it is later than that, maybe 1999? His under 2-litre record run?? I just remember freaking because he didn't lift the throttle until he was
INTO the Dipper...

I know what you mean Glenn. I might have seen the same video.
Craig only lifted on one run when he oversteered into the corner and looped it just missing the wall.
At least he was trying hard.

I did the h/climbs earlier in the year and I would have to say the thrill of driving the dubber full pipe up mountain straight and over the top of the
hill was awesome. .. ... even when you do go over the finish line backwards. I would love to go back again in december.
BTW Alex wheres an L plater like yourself doing 210kph? Thats a go directly to goal and get f#cked up the ar@e by bubba type of speed.

Oooops.

has anyone heard or know anymore about this event?
Haven't heard any more. We're busy getting my mates new open wheeler (well new to him, Kawasaki 1100) up to scratch so we've got a bigger pit tent
and BBQ ready. Also have to rebuild the turbine for the jet bike so we can use it to keep the campsite warm at night......
yehaaaaaa....and my LSD arrives tomorrow, just have to build the spare box as well...not much to do.......
