speedster356 - March 1st, 2006 at 02:50 PM

I thought that at first.......how does Dave know CTs not competing?
It's only coz Dave kant spill Craig....

fullnoise - March 1st, 2006 at 08:36 PM

The funny thing is that I was going to enter just to experience Bathurst once. As it turns out the car is just about ready but I'll bee in Queensland that weekend. There's always next year, touch rust, err wood.

CYA CT

Craig Torrens - March 2nd, 2006 at 11:12 AM

I've entered..............should be another good event.

Pete, CT's name is Christian not Craig!

Cheers.

speedster356 - March 2nd, 2006 at 01:04 PM

Dave was refering to...you, he can't spell Craig though:P
We all know your initals are KT.....thats a "K" for King.....:beer

Craig Torrens - March 2nd, 2006 at 01:07 PM

Long live the King:smirk:

amazeer - March 7th, 2006 at 10:05 PM

I thought he had 6 initials FIGJAM

jakjones - March 7th, 2006 at 10:12 PM

I really love the Butterfingers track with that Title.
Maybe they know Craig

bat69 - March 16th, 2006 at 02:54 PM

So whos coming down to watch or play?

This should be a good event to see some fast VW's competing. Its a good event to spectate with 7 beetles (that I know of are entered) and nearly as many VW powered open wheelers competing.

Craig Torrens - March 16th, 2006 at 08:31 PM

All ready......................................well I have taken the tarp off the car:thumb..........that's all my prep done !!!

pringa8 - March 16th, 2006 at 08:43 PM

damn it! If only I'd had the car back together ready for this weekend :vader

Craig Torrens - March 16th, 2006 at 08:58 PM

Next event is at Fairbarn Park ACT......................right in your back yard !!!

NO EXCUSES ALLOWED FOR MISSING THAT ONE !!

pringa8 - March 17th, 2006 at 12:20 PM

Yeah I still haven't given it a go, so I should!

speedster356 - March 19th, 2006 at 10:26 PM

Well another two great days of racing on Mt Panorama.
Records fell on Sunday (Mountain Straight) in just about every class.
I can post Sundays results only but I'm sure the others can post Saturdays.

Formula Libra 1301-2000
Stan Pobjoy VW special 54.64 2nd in class 22 o/r

Formula Libra over 2000
Peter Gumley Wortmeyer SCV 42.83 2nd in class 2nd o/r

Formula Vee 1200
Wayne Allen FV 64.69 1st in class 58 o/r

Imp production 1601-2000
Heath Campbell VW 54.91 1st in class 24 o/r *New record*
Craig Torrens VW 55.43 2nd in class 26 o/r
Nathan Abbott VW 55.50 3rd in class 27 o/r
Grant Cook VW 56.24 4th in class 32 o/r
Christine Campbell VW 58.44 5st in class 44 o/r
Johne Abbott VW 63.22 6th in class 55 o/r

Open sportscars over 1600
I did a 56.38 1st in class and 33 o/r with a new record.

Saturday saw a Formula ford hit the wall with a struck throttle cable completely destroying the car and sending the driver to hospital, has since been released with broken ribs.
Sunday had a new GT3 (less than 1 month old) touch the wall up the top of the Mountain at high speed and only managed to bend his tow hook that's screwed into the front of the car and slightly scuff some paint on the nose.........
To those that decided not to come up and compete..... don't miss the next weekend up here.:beer

:crazy:Crazy people -go the Gorrilla v's Old Herbie v's Garfield.
:cool:What a blast, hopefully next time I will have more guts and get closer to the boys. Although after H's last run on sunday he could hardly walk, too much sideways movement for me!!

Was it different parts of the track on different days?

Sunday = mountain straight??

Saturday = esses (uphill)??

Craig Torrens - March 22nd, 2006 at 08:51 PM

Correct.

Saturday was the esses (round 2)
Sunday was mountain straight (round 3)

Saturday is a steep uphill drag strip.
Sunday is like a road race, heaps of corners and a real drivers track.
