Fireball xl5 - June 10th, 2006 at 06:54 PM

Hello,
Ive got a type3 69 squareback with plans for the odd track days, but looking for fireglass front wings, (mine are a wee bit rusty)has anyone seen them available in australia?

not likely, you're probably best off talking to a local fibreglasser and getting him to make some up for you. Alternatively, you could glass some of your own. It's not that hard.

why not!, there must be books on how to do it.

have a search on the web, you'll find something.

or here,

http://www.ricola.co.uk/

look under "my cars", then "ghia" and then "body". He made his own nose section. He's on the forum too, under the name "ricola".

How did you go mate. Got any thing started yet? Ive got a notch and would like to do the same thing. It could allow for wider wheels and a wider track. Not to mention the good looks. I wouldnt know where to start though.

Try VW Innovations in America, they make Fibreglass guards, aprons and more to suit type three's, the only problem being the fuel filler hole I guess.
