Thanks Craig,
Was going to take my 3yr old son down for our first father & son motor sport experience, looks like I will have to go further afield.
Cheers
Brendan

Brendon, you might just have to drive the extra 40mins down the road and go to a hillclimb at Ringwood or King Edward Park. There are always a few VW's and other fast cars at these events. King Edward is a great event to spectate at.

As for Buladelah. The increased cost (ambos now want $2000 per event) for state hillclimb events and the lower number of state competitors at this event the past year (local club members could not run without a logbook) saw it canned for this year only. A new and improved event is planned for next year.

I've heard a whisper that full ambulance might not be required next year. Its a stupid rule anyway. Years ago WSCC used to run a multiclub climb on the saturday as practice. Only St Johns needed then. The next day, same cars competing on the same hill at the same speeds and you need a full ambulance. I sound like a broken record I know, but its just another case of rules for the sake of rules.

Mind you, if there wasnt the full ambulance ruling, Graeme Syphers would probably be history after his heart attack at Huntley last year.

I second the call about going to King Edward. Nice spot. http://www.mgcarclub.com.au/htmpages/kingEd/kingEd.htm

Thanks for the link amazeer.

Nathan looks like Newcastle might be the go, I'll pencil it in & see how we go, I was hoping to take him to something that had a few VWs running.
So I'm guessing that saturday would be the best day to see VWs?

Cheers

Brendan, Saturday October 20 is the State round at King Edward Park and last year there were 9 beetle entries. I couldn't see why there wouldn't be a similar number this year.
