How do you find out about these and where is the best to go - i've heard Wakefield park has these kinds of days - Road registered car days, get a license on the day kind of thing.

only weekdays???

VWCOOL - August 28th, 2008 at 10:11 AM

...the track is usually booked for events on weekends

Occasionally they have weekends available but they get pretty full so weekdays are better. You just show up on the day, pay your money and have some fun.

winton has fun days fairly often on a sunday, you can take your car down and run what you brung just has to be scruitineerd and pay your money was $25 bucks per driver and we had about 6 X 20 minute runs.

That's pretty cheap mactaylor, last time I was at Wakefield it was about $90 but you do get almost a full day out there and no scrutineering. The only downside is having to drive back into Goulburn to refue because there's none available at the track, a jerrycan certainly comes in handy.
