Hi
In conjunction with the 2009 VW Nationals we will be holding a Supersprint at Wakefield Park near Goulburn on the Saturday 23 May, the day before the
2009 VW Nationals.
Who is intersted in running?
Send me your snail mail address and I will get entry forms to you as soon as they are available.
Styeve
My car isn't suitable, but great idea.
Yup - I'd be keen.
I'd be in if you can make it happen....are you planning on tagging onto anothers club event to make up numbers??
yeah, i'll be in that Steve
Hi
We are running the event ourselves, Club VeeDub Sydney merged with the Volkswagen Club of NSW some time ago, so we will be using expertise from our
own club to run the event, we will however need to invite other clubs to attend to fill up the numbers, perhaps friends of VW racers.
We will need helpers on the day, we are trying to do it as cheaply as possible for the entrants but but we will have professional timing etc.
Thanks for the PMs keep them coming.
Steve
yeah mate
i would be keen, have a mini friend too.
What sort of vehicle do you need ? Mods etc ?
I maybe interested if I can use my L Bug with Subie.
Hi
Any car can virtually run, you would need a CAMS licence, your car would be scrutineered for safety etc, you would need a helmet, neck to ankle
clothing and fire extinguisher.
Steve
im sure the boys at vforce would put one or two cars in
Sounds good as long as Golfs are allowed
Yeah, sounds good Steve.
Hi
Guy of course the water cooled brigade are invited. At last years VW Nationals car show, 1/2 the entires were water cooled cars and many of them would
hopefully be keen to run.
Peter it was taken as a given that you would run, it will actually be really good to have all the VW racers in one place.
Steve
how is this going to work ? will there be catorgories as in beetles / kombis etc or engine size ?
i would consider having ago at this in my ute but as its only a 1679 with a 34 pict 3 i dont think it will be very entertaining to watch , if there
were some other kombis running with small engines now then it would be interesting and could be a good laugh

Hi
Thanks for the photo.
The classes will be along CAMS guidelines, so no special classes for different model VWs, we can't cater for every model but if you have run you will
have ball and I guarantee that even a "ute but as its only a 1679 with a 34 pict 3" can get out of shape.
The cars will however go out in groups with approximately the same speed, so slower cars with slower cars etc
Steve
so I can run a Lancer EVO then
only if you like loosing Craig
oh I dont think so .................and I know how quick beetles go

I'll be in it Steve. I'm driving your car.
I dont know first hand how it works, but you can run at Wakefield under AASA permit and licences. Would be cheaper.
I'd love to think that my 54 Beetle will be on the track by then. (note to self: late nights and weekends must be happening)
If it is I will make the trip ... sounds fantastic!!

Hi Craig
You have to have a dream, only a few things to do before paint now.
So are you going to have a run, if all you have got is an EVO, I guess that will have to do?
Is there nothing better in the museum?
Or are you hill climb guys reluctant to run with another car near you?
Steve
