Seeings as I will never have the time to make anything like this happen, I'm putting the idea out there for someone else to use.

A few years ago I noticed this huge plot of land on the great western Hwy (Cnr Doonside Rd) at Eastern Creek. It's telstra/crown land that was used for radio towers and such. A few years back some idiot set off a car bomb in there just to see what it would be like. Suffice to say the area isn't used for anything but appears to be chock full of service roads. Anyway, the point is this. It's close to the M7 and M4, buses go out that direction and the train is close too. It's also right round the corner from ECIR and WSID. Two sides of the property are motorways or huge main roads and the other side is old farm land and an industrial estate at Arndell Pk.

I reckon it would be perfect for some sort of high profile rally sprint or one day event. Heck you could even make it one of the ARC events if you wanted. The exposure to the public would be huge and it's smack bang in the middle of the western suburbs and it's petrol head mecca.

Anyway, I'd love to see someone do something with the idea. Afterall, if V8 supercars can tear up the Olympic site for a race, why couldn't we talk to Telstra about something like this?
