sandown msca meet

Hey guys,

Well, my girlfriend & I decided to take the new Golf to Sandown to see how it feels on the track and blow out some of those daily driver cobwebs.

From what we could tell, it was the only standard car there and definitely the only one on street tires.

We had a ball, drove fairly conservative to conserve brakes & tires, and managed to come away with grins & panels intact :D
So, all in all a good day out.

good stuff cam, great fun isnt it! now some sticky r spec tyres rip out all the interior a good race seat and a cage etc etc etc. maybe not but it does get very addictive.

very addictive indeed... Don't think we'll go quite that far, yet ;) but, some R spec tyres are a must! Even though we were taking it easy so as not to ruin the road going continentals the things have still shown some serious wear :(

They're pretty quick those GTIs. I'm sure it would've been a blast.

How were those corners at the end of the back straight?

Nice one.

Regards CT

hey CT, it sure was!

The corners were fantastic, unfortunately the brakes and tires weren't up to going through them as quickly as I'd of liked, I may have to hassle you for a set of semi slicks ;)

We got our times (a couple of weels ago now, but I'm slack :smirk:)

Not blistering times I know, but bare in mind this was our first time at Sandown, the car is 100% stock, Simone's daily and neither of us were keen on having to replace the factory issued Continental's so were driving fairly conservatively... Now, enough of the excuses ;):
