Hi Craig

Post the times when your done so that we can see how they compare with the humble VW times from the other week.

Didn't Mitsubishi make the Japanese Zero fighter plane? That will be the temperature down at Wakefield.

Steve

Craig Torrens - July 4th, 2009 at 06:21 PM

Will do Steve......yeah will be bloody cold, so I will probably have the heated seats set on high :D

Hi Craig,
Any chance of having a run? Would like to give my '59 Beetle (Blackish,swing-axle,link-pin,drum-brake, 100hp, etc.) another buzz around Wakefield. Cheers, Greg Mackie.

1303Steve - July 12th, 2009 at 06:28 PM

Hi Greg

Any idea when the new car will be running?

Craig, I'm on holidays then, but I'm working on the great wall of Carter still and the bug in between times.

So did anyone have a run at the creek?

Steve

HappyDaze - July 12th, 2009 at 07:14 PM

Hi Steve,
Found a few problems (expected), but have sorted most of them out. Still looking for wheels and other bits. Should have the car ready in about 3 months.
Cheers, Greg

Hi

Great stuff, it will be good to see what you do with the car.

Hi Greg, I have left a message with the guy organising the day........fingers crossed for you !

There's going to be some good cars there....including a GT40!

HappyDaze - July 13th, 2009 at 08:51 AM

Thanks Craig, here's hoping. If that's a REAL GT-40, I'll pop down just to see that.
Cheers, Greg

Special Air Service - July 14th, 2009 at 12:30 PM

Craig, let us all know if GT40 is genuine please. I know an old bloke that would problably make the trip to see it go around a few times.

Cheers
Brendan

Craig Torrens - July 16th, 2009 at 11:21 AM

Yes its a real GT40,but its the new model not the old one......should be very quick!

Sorry Greg unfortunately there are no more spots ..........there's 47 cars in total and it was going to be capped at 45!!

Yep freezing cold and it rained for the whole afternoon!!

I did 1.10's (transponder in car) in the EVO......not bad for a standard car and my second lap of the track!...just on 200kph down the straight and average fuel consumption of 58.8lt/100km according to the computer

The second session was quicker as the sun came out and i was starting to get up the car........easily 1.09's and probably in the 8's, but this was a untimed session:mad:

good to met you today Greg....you will see me at the Marulan Track

Guess why I left when I did! No point getting older if you don't get smarter!
Cheers, Greg

Steve,

Is there any updates on this? There may be a few guys on here that need to make plans. I would like to think I may be one of them but timing will play a big part.

Cheers
Brendan

1303Steve - August 9th, 2009 at 11:55 PM

Hi

Its best to contact the BMW club direct.

Sunday September 6th:- Oran Park Grand Prix Supersprint, hosted by the BMW Drivers Club, Club Vee Dub has been invited to attend this event. Contact BMW Drivers club Motorsport Director: Lloyd Kelly motorsport@bmwclubnsw.asn.au or Mobile: 0419 430 779 Oran Park closes in December 2009, this maybe one of you last chances to run on this iconic circuit.

Thats a very good time Craig, is that out of the box or have you done some tweaks?
