Huntley Hillclimb

Its back... maybe.

Web: I guess I should apologise for not keeping the WSSC web up to date. Its hard to keep up the enthusiasm when there isn't any car action going on down here. Hey, I haven't even followed the super taxi series this year which was previously my religion.

Huntley: The coroner's report came back favourable for us, so we are back on the campaign trail to get our Hill up and running again. We have sent applications in to the council and police to run events next year. Will be interesting to see how that all pans out. We have applied for dates as follows:

7 Feb, 18 April, 13 June, 8 Aug, 26 Sept, 14 Nov

26th September we hope to run as a NSW Championship round, all the rest will be multiclub, all invited.

Working Bees: With the track out of action for so long it has been quite neglected. We'll need several working bees before the first event to get it up to standard. The first of which is Saturday 26th September. We'll spend a few hours trying to slash back shrubbery. If you have artillery suitable for warfare against vegetation, and could get there from 9am, there will be enough to keep you amused.

The next one will be 31st October.

It would be dame good to see this event run again and I would love nothing more then it see it back on the calender. Not only was this event a great run event (congrats Chris and his team) but it is one of the most exciting hillclimbs Ive driven at. It may not be the longest or fastest, but I think it takes a good dose of bravery to set a fast time at this track. Good luck with it and count me in for 2010.
