Hi Rudi
What time does the racing start & finish on Sunday?
Steve
Starts at around 9 till about 4.30 huge field 109 entries with 20 reserves
Very eventful weekend, had practice day at the creek on saturday ,bedded in new brake pads and tested the 915 5speed transaxle, plenty of top end now pulling 6500rpm in 5th down the straight box shifts smooth as silk and should handle the hp with out any worries.Had a recurring problem with no1 headerpipe again its the longest pipe and had a tendancy to sag and then xaust pressure would push the sliding joint apart, thought i fixed the problem in the off season by lenghthening the pipe by 40mm but after20mins of practice it happened again, back to the garage out with the oxy and with the help of John Ladimatos bent it back into shape ready for the sprint on sunday. Great day nice and hot 120 entries only had two runs in the morning session before lunch ,car had a lot of lag up till about 4500rpm then would acellerate like a missile very hard to drive smoothly so did the best we could under the circumstances so much opposite lock i think i wore out the steeing box.Car ran a1m17sec at its last event here but ran a best time of 1m20sec after fitting 25mm lower profile tyres, took a bit of in car footage on the day,you can tell i was pretty busy in the driver seat with a lot of effort being used, not a smooth lap all day ,car ran 5th in class 4d and 24th outrite. Bit dissapointed with the result as i know the car is a lot quicker but still a great days racing ,top speed is awsome ,still coming to grips with braking points, willwood brake set up now sorted and is slowing the car down with very little effort, inother words im braking way to early, just another thing to get used to.Just checked the car out blown flange gaskit on no3 no wonder it had a bit of lag Cheers Rudi
Seems you have the car pretty well sorted Rudi.
Just being able to finish is a big achievement.
What does 6500 rpm equate to?
Sounds like a wild day of driving
There is always something to chase in the setup I guess. Like to see some of the footage from in car when you get a a chance.
0.79 Top gear 3.88 diff 6500rpm 625tall tyres aprox 248ks cheers Rudi

bit of a handfull Rudi ,,,love it
Wild moment in the flip-flop just before the 4 minute mark there.
Acceleration looks awesome.
wild is an understatement, very hard to drive when not making any power before 5500rpm had blown no4 flange gaskit and crack in primary header pipe,if you think it accelerates quickly now ,watch the next vid from eastern creek on the 7th of march 2010 cheers Rudi
